Riders MUST . . .

Obey ALL road
rules including |

The wearing of an approved
helmet |

Giving way to pedestrians |
|
Giving hand signals when turning
right |
|
Giving hand signals when turning
left |
|
Ride with at least one hand
on the handlebars |
|
Observe traffic signals |
|
Obey all instructions from
police, the ride director, motorcycle marshals and ambulance
personnel. |

When passing, cyclists are
to do so as quickly as possible - the passing team to be
in single file |
3. |
Riders riding all the way
must be able to average 25km/ph |
4. |
Single riders must have support
or be designated to a team |

All riders must be behind the Lead Vehicle |
Riders MUST NOT . . .

6. |
Stay approximately 300 metres
back from the lead vehicle at the front of the ride. If the
lead vehicle slows down, YOU slow down. |
7. |
If bunches of more than 20
are forming, break up into smaller groups. |
8. |
Wear their team number on
the outside of their clothing on their backs at all times. |
9. |
A CURFEW WILL BE IMPOSED AFTER
6.00PM |
Drivers/Support Crew MUST

Obey ALL road rules. |
11. |
Show PATIENCE and CARE at
ALL TIMES. |
12. |
Travel far enough back from
riders so that you can stop in an emergency. |
13. |
Drive as close to the left-hand
side of the road as possible when following riders. |
14. |
Obey ALL instructions from
police, the ride director, the motorcycle marshals and ambulance
personnel. |
15. |
NOT ATTEMPT TO PASS FOOD
TO RIDERS FROM A MOVING VEHICLE. |

Support Drivers must attend briefing and be
signed off as having attended |

Support Vehicles must pull right off the road
when assisting their riders |
